Charles F.C. Ruff

Charles F.C. Ruff (1939-2000) was a prominent Washington lawyer, and White House Counsel, who defended President Bill Clinton during his impeachment trial in 1999. He served as special prosecutor who investigated President Richard Nixon during the Watergate scandal and defended Anita Hill during Clarence Thomas's Supreme Court confirmation hearings. He was a graduate of Swarthmore College and Columbia Law School.
