Charles Murphy (Canadian politician)

Charles Murphy, PC (8 December 1862 – 24 November 1935) was Canadian politician and Liberal MP for Russell (Ontario) in the Canadian House of Commons from 1908 to 1925. He was appointed to the Canadian Senate in 1925.
Ottawa-born Murphy was Secretary of State for External Affairs from 1909 to 1911. He also served as:
- Postmaster General 1921–1926
- Secretary of State of Canada (Acting) 1925–1926
Before entering politics Murphy was a lawyer.
He died in office in 1935.
