Charles W. Dullea

Charles W. Dullea, Chief of Police in the San Francisco Police Department from 1940 to 1947.
Appointed Chief of in 1940 by Mayor Angelo Rossi. Dullea had been in the Marine corps before entering the San francisco Police force and rising to chief of Inspectors. During the war years, he presided over a police force diminished by conscription and organized auxilliary citizens to assist his depleted ranks.
