Charlie Cox is responsible for the management of Carphone Warehouse's digital radio interests and is a Director of The Carphone Warehouse Digital Limited. He is Chairman of The Digital Radio Group (London) Ltd, a Director of Switchdigital (London) Ltd and a Director of Switchdigital (Scotland) Limited He is also a commentator on motor sports for the BBC.
Charlie started his career in Australia, as a journalist for local Sydney station News Radio. In 1988, he became Managing Director of another Sydney station, 2GB, and National News Director of the Macquarie Radio Network. He moved to the UK in 1990 where for three years he was Managing Director of London speech station LBC. In 1994, he was appointed Chief Executive of the worldwide broadcasting division of the Daily Mail Group. Charlie has been associated with the Carphone Warehouse Group since joining as its Business Affairs Director in 2000.
