Chartwell Elementary is a K-7 school located above Sentinel Secondary School in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is part of school district 45 and it serves the West Vancouver Community. Occasionally, it holds community events in which people outside the school may be invited to join, most notably its multicultural night. School lets out early on Wednesdays, with the rest of the day free for students. This gives time for teacher meetings and preparations.

Chartwell Elementary does not divide the day into specific classes and the teachers have the freedom to do anything with the class they want. However, in grades 6 and 7, the teachers try to implement more structure in the schedule to prepare the students for high school. In these grades, the teachers usually make a set schedule for the children to follow and even make them move between classes so students get taught different subjects by different teachers. This is similar to Sentinel Secondary's class structure, which most seventh graders attend after their graduation from Chartwell Elementary School.
Physical Education classes are held by the teacher and there is no dedicated PE teacher. Sometimes classes join together to participate in one large activity. Activities include, but are not limited to: tag, kickball, softball, and free time.
