[edit] Pls read and think twice
Dear Sir, I am Dr. Mohammad Samir Hossain from Bangladesh. I was and still am too poor like my country. I was desperately searching for support for my research and seeing my desperate wish some educators from the so called non-accreditated university Bircham International University became too kind to buy me books and appove me 100% fund. I had to beg to many but got only one. So I jumped on my dream topic - Philosophy of Death and Adjustment and start working on the Impact of different philosophies on different bangladeshi people. I did it because in the science of death such research was never conducted, but if I can do or at least raise some point for it, may be some richer and more qualified people will find their interest in it and may proceed. My back ground thought was that remedy to many mental health problem might come out from this new branch. But who would raise me with it? Cause I did not have money even to buy papers or my daily food, let alone doing vast correspondences or take help from any accreditated university. Though fortunately I enrolled at Harvard Medical School with full waiver, but that was too small period for me to do any good job. Finally I thought may be Elisabeth kubler-Ross herself might find interest in it and togather we will proceed. But my luck did not support me, cause I found the news of her funeral on the very day I found her organization's web site. So temporarily my research work stopped upto which Bircham International University helped me. So till now I dream of proceeding more on the research with supports of knowledge from all over the world, and I do not even have a web site to introduce my thoughts. So the only light of hope became this free encyclopedia, and for reference I only had Bircham International University web site. So I desperately tried to promote the introduction of the university in this encyclopedia so that the research reference gets its better base. I know my letter is big and annoying, but sometimes we do annoying things for something better, and please believe me I tried to promote Bircham International University or any other that you all object, just to facilitate the birth of a new branch of a science. Please help me in every way, you do not need to ask me anything for editing or changing. If you all fail to help in a rational manner, I do not mind and will take it as a fate. I will see my reply through the condition of the article "Philosophy of Death and Adjustment". I will love to see this baby of mine alive, but if dead, I will follow the branch of science that I am holding on.

[edit] Please take another look at Winfield High School article
Hi Chairman S.,
I've just substantially improved the Winfield High School (West Virginia) article, and I think it now meets your original objections. Please take another look and reconsider your opinion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Winfield High School (West Virginia). Best, Noroton 20:23, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of any personal references in Awareness Loves Life article
Dear Chairman S.,
My name is Frank O'Collins and for 20+ years I have been trying to fight via philosophy against the very forces you also claim to be so strongly against, namely -ancient religious doctrines, facist systems such as communism. In your case, it is via the Wikipedia universe and other environments. In my case it is from http://www.ucadia.com and social systems.
I fully agree with your initial comments on Awareness Loves Life r/e self promotion. I have since changed it, but this may not be enough to save it from oblivion.
However, I felt it important to leave a posting on your page to make it absolutely clear. That through years of research such as the "Almanac of Evil" (against Catholicism) and many years of research on legal and social reform systems, every day I am fighting the same war you claim to support against "flat earth" zealotry.
But you show absolutely no respect to not take a few seconds to trying and see what Ucadia is about. Finally ending religious systems such as Catholicism is an extremely complex and subtle undertaking. I am sure you'd appreciate that systems such as the Vatican that have survived for over 1700 years show they are capable of withstanding a few rebels. What is required is a comprehesive all out assault. This includes a full range of tactics including but not limited to alternatives, debunking, integration, subservient, revelation to name a few.
You were right to highlight any article of self promotion. You are making a positive difference. So are many other people. Please keep that in mind and I wish you well. Architect of Ucadia 04:25, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Record covers
Hi. As you seem to know what is the whole thing about, I would like to check with you the following question: I am trying to upload the covers of the Radio Futura records but I just find the whole thing quite confusing. I opened an account in Commons and I downloaded these covers only to be warned a few minutes after, before I could even upload them, that "copyright bla bla". I said that they are only record covers, which means that they are eminently public (or so I think), but they said that no way, that most record covers are subjected to copyright...so am I supposed to swallow this when I see all the other bands articles displaying the covers of their records?...
I don't know whether the problem is that I am supposed to make a picture myself of the record cover and then upload it, instead of copying the cover from any other website. But, in any case I don't have these records here with me.
Now, do you know if there is a way to "smuggle" these covers without meeting "the copyright police"? I understand that there are copyright policies but in this particular case looks to me like non sense. I'll be looking forward to some advice from you.
Thanks! Mountolive | Talk 04:25, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
p.s. I would like to copy the covers from this fan site: [1] there's no warning about copyright whatsoever in any of its pages and, given the low resolution of the covers, I assume they are pictures made by the guy who runs the site. Would it be ok to use them? how? Thanks again for any advice you may have.
- Mountolive, your confusion stems from the fact that you were trying to upload the record cover images to Commons. Commons does not allow fair-use rationale images. Instead, all you need to do is upload the images to the English Wikipedia, through Special:Upload, making sure to select the "Album or single cover" licencing tag. -- Chairman S. Talk Contribs 08:05, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you! so now that I have uploaded them per above....a-hem.....how do I download them to the article?!? just be patient with me...I should be done with the last explanation ;)
Hi there: someone else has already showed me how to do it. Thank you for your help in the first place! Mountolive | Talk 01:46, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please reconsider your vote to merge Human rights in pre-Saddam Iraq
Hi Chairman S.,
I've just put a lot of work into improving Human rights in pre-Saddam Iraq so that the article is not now anything like what it was when you voted to merge. I think it may meet your objections to it, so please take another look and see what you think. I'm still not satisfied with the article, but it has roughly the proper scope and many more reliable sources. I think what I've done shows that there's too much material out there to merge this article with anything else. Significant gaps remain and some subjects should have footnotes from more sources, but I think the article is several steps toward what it should be. Best, Noroton 22:38, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
P.S. I have no idea how my message got in a box with Crested Penguin's, but, well, all the Wikilove and Wikipeace and Wikihappiness to you and yours. And please change your vote! Noroton 22:41, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Needing Help with Copyright License of Image
Hi Chairman,
I went to the help desk, but I thought I'd post this here instead. I'm trying to secure an image for the article Liuhe Pagoda, called image:Liuhe Pagoda.jpg [(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Liuhe_Pagoda.jpg]) on wiki, and although I have specified that I have the permission of the original author/photographer of the pic, there is still a copyright issue. Can you show me which type of tag is appropriate for this image? I can't seem to find a decent one after reading the lot of them in the copyright tags description list. Otherwise, this awesome photo is going to be deleted in 7 days, and we can't have that. Lol. Feel free to visit my discussion page at User talk:PericlesofAthens.
Thanks, --PericlesofAthens 19:26, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- What sort of permission did the photographer give you? Because unfortunately, unless he gave you full permission to use the image anywhere (ie. not just on Wikipedia), the image will still be considered copyright, and will be deleted. If however, he has given you the right to reproduce the photo anywhere, then you can attach this tag to it: {{Attribution}}. -- Chairman S. Talk Contribs 20:51, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
