Namechange recommended for a potentially offensive name. The user should ideally acknowledge the request here; this seems unlikely. The current username should be blocked to prevent others from creating it.
- Current name: Deadaphaia (talk • contribs)
- Suggested new name: Lifelessatropos (change username)
- Reason: The current username is easily confused with User:Aphaia, a long-time contributor here who left in December after a username policy debate. Deadaphaia is also the name of a recently banned user on ja:wp who created that username to harrass there (the same user). The suggested new name reflects the creator's stated desire to have a name such as "dead<goddess>" for some goddess. The ja:wp block discussion can be found here.
- Update: the user has not made any edits other than one minor edit and edits to his/her own userpage... but is actively watching en:wp and replies to any userpage comments within a day. Despite numerous requests to change this name, there has been no satisfactory response.

Not done If it's an inappropriate name, block the user until they agree to change. We do not do renames of contributors without thier consent. Essjay (Talk) 17:53, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
