Chelnov

Chelnov (Atomic Runner outside Japan) is a video game from Data East, published in 1988. Originally released for video arcades, it would later be ported to the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console.
In video archade version of this game, a player controls a Radiation poisoned miner, by a disaster of nuclear power plant. He got mystic power by radiation. With the power, he have to fight toward mystic syndicate.
It is believed that it is named after Chernobyl disaster, but the president of Dataeast insisted that it is not true, but he is only Karnov's brother.
Chelnov is also the final boss in Fighter's History Mizoguchi Kiki Ippatsu!!, the final game in the Fighter's History series.
