Chelsa Wagner

Chelsa Wagner is an American politician from the state of Pennsylvania. She currently serves in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from the 22nd legislative district which includes the South Side of the city of Pittsburgh, as well as parts of the suburbs of Baldwin, Whitehall and Castle Shannon. Wagner is a member of the Democratic Party.
Wagner graduated from Seton-LaSalle High School in Pittsburgh, and then the University of Chicago, where she played as a point guard on the women's basketball team. Wagner earned a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and took up work as a lawyer at a Pittsburgh firm specializing in medical malpractice cases.
She is a member of a prominent political family in Pittsburgh. Her father Pete serves on the Pittsburgh City Council, while her uncle Jack is the state's Auditor General.
Wagner was first elected in 2006 with over 55% of the vote. She defeated incumbent Michael Diven, a political rival of her father who had switched to the Republican Party earlier that year.
