Chemical Wedding is an influential Seattle rock group founded by former members of "grunge-era" Seattle bands like Room 13, Reuben Kincaid, One Against Five, and Rototiller.
Chemical Wedding traces its influences to diverse musical sources, as well as performance art (e.g., Chris Burden) and cultural studies theory focusing on music, culture, and politics. Chemical Wedding takes it's name from the 16th Century alchemical text, the "Die Chymische Hochzeit des Christian Rosenkreutz" (The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz).
Chemical Wedding's 2006 full-length release, "2012", was recorded and mixed by recognized Seattle producer, Jack Endino, known for his work in the 1980s and 1990s with bands like Nirvana and Mudhoney. The record cover features the work of visual artist, James Cicatko.
