Chewang Norphel

Chewang Norphel a retired civil engineer who builds glaciers in Ladakh, India. Since 1995 is the project officer of the Watershed Development Programme of the Leh Nutrition Project. Until 2006, 10 artificial glaciers have been built.
The glacier project is sponsored by the government’s Desert Development Agency.
