Crime rate is based on reported offenses of the Criminal Code of Canada per 1,000 population.
Violent crime includes homicide, attempted murder, sexual and non-sexual assault, robbery and abduction. Of the 101 violent crimes in Chetwynd in 2004, 93 were classified as non-sexual assaults, 7 sexual assaults, and 1 robbery.
