Child of Rage was a Lifetime Television movie made in 1992 starring Ashley Peldon and Mel Harris. The film is based on a true story of a little girl who was sexually abused.

Rob and Jill Tyler adopt two children, Catherine and Eric. Eric is a sweet and timid child, whereas Catherine at times can come across as being the same, but often has outbursts of violent rage for no apparent reason, which affects her behaviour and interaction with others. Some of these violent acts include smashing her brother's head on the basement floor, resulting in him requiring urgent medical attention, and stabbing her adoptive father whilst he sleep; she also attacked a fellow classmate with a shard of glass.
Jill and Rob realise this sort of behaviour is very concerning and find Dr. Rosemary Myers, who examines Catherine and discovers she was abused by her biological father and wants Catherine to overcome this rage. Dr. Myers, Jill, and Rob perform holding therapy for Catherine and at first their attempts seem worthless, but Catherine soon seems to become more at ease as the therapy progresses.
