Chris Broderick is the lead guitarist for the Power Metal band Jag Panzer. He has been a part of Jag Panzer for their last four albums: The Fourth Judgement, Thane to the Throne (a concept album about Shakespeare's Macbeth), Mechanized Warfare, and Casting the Stones. Chris started playing guitar when he was 11 years old and his playing styles range from Classical music to rock, blues, and jazz. He also has a degree in Classical Guitar music performance at the University of Denver and the Lamont School of Music. He plays Ibanez guitars and uses DR High Beam 10 gauge strings.
Chris also plays classical guitar and has won renown as a touring guitarist for popular Seattle Metallers Nevermore, after the sad and sudden kidney-driven illness of guitarist Steve Smyth. Besides touring with Nevermore, Chris is also offering guitar lessons over the internet.
Chris has been said to have practiced 14 hours over summer as a teenager. He would wake up early in the morning, practice electric guitar for 5 hours, practice classical guitar for 5 hours, practice piano for 2, and practice violin for 2 hours.
