Chris Kinnan

Chris Kinnan joined FreedomWorks in December of 2001 and is currently the Vice President of Interactive Media. The Public Affairs group is responsible for FreedomWorks' media relations, intern relations, and government affairs outreach, including FreedomWorks' Internet and e-mail communications and campaigns. As a spokesman, Kinnan has been quoted in numerous publications, including the Washington Post, the Associated Press, Reuters, Knight Ridder, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Denver Post, Human Events, Forbes. Kinnan has written in publications as varied as National Review Online, Budget & Tax News, and Enter Stage Right, and he has appeared as a television guest on CNBC, CNNfn, CBC nationwide Canada.
Chris brings an unusual blend of public policy and international business experience to the job. Prior to joining FreedomWorks, Chris worked for several technology start-ups, including serving as Business Development Director for Silicon Valley-based Angel Engineers, a database development firm with operations in San Jose and China. After spending two years in Hong Kong for business school, Chris worked as a policy analyst in the Government and Public Affairs Group at Sony Electronics from 1999-2000, focusing on technology, trade, and privacy policy.
From 1994 to 1997, Chris worked as a legislative aide in the House of Representatives for Congressman Dan Miller (R-FL). On Capitol Hill, he worked primarily on tax, trade, agriculture, and technology policy, and served for one year as a Budget Associate to the House Budget Committee.
Chris Kinnan is a 1994 graduate of Princeton University, where he earned a B.A. in Politics and a certificate in Political Economy. In 1999, he earned an MBA in international finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
