Christian Forshaw

Christian Forshaw is a British saxophone virtuoso and composer.
He was born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music in 1995, he became a solo artist, working with ensembles such as the Michael Nyman Band. His performance of Richard Rodney Bennett’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Strings received acclaim. His first album, Sanctuary was nominated for a Classical Brit Award and Mortal Flesh entered the Classic FM "Hall of Fame" in 2005, having been championed by DJ Simon Bates.
