Christine Lund (Born 1944) was a popular Los Angeles news anchorperson for KABC-TV from the early 1970's to the late 1990's and consistently garnered high ratings.[1] She first joined the station in 1972 as a reporter and anchor. Lund left the station for 4 years in 1986 and returned to the station in 1990, until she officially left the station in 1998. Throughout much of her career, she co-anchored with Jerry Dunphy. She is believed to be the inspiration for the character of Veronica Corningstone, played by Christina Applegate, in the film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.[1]
Lund currently runs a small general store in Alaska.
