Christopher Hopper is an internationally acclaimed Christian speaker, worship leader, author, record producer and recording artist with eight of his own music albums released worldwide and hundreds of other titles to his credit. He is a two-time ordained minister and travels extensively around the globe appearing before thousands of people each year, ministering the Good News of Jesus Christ. Christopher serves as youth pastor for New Life Christian Church and is the Director of Awakening, a national youth conference. He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in the Thousand Islands region of northern, NY with their daughter, Evangeline Mae.
Born April 25 1979 in Ithaca, NY. The son of Peter Hopper a record producer (April & Blackwood Records; Columbia Records; AireFire Records), recording & audio engineer (Clint Black, The Judds) and drummer (Janis Joplin, Phil Keaggy), Nina Hopper a singer/songwriter (Shenandoah Conservatory of Music).
His Godly home and church environment, as well as his Kindergarten through 8th grade years in a Christian school, were the healthy soil in which his faith took root. Covenant Love Community Church in Freeville, NY, better known as Love Inn during the '70s, was where Christopher was continually surrounded by worship, dance, music and the arts, as well as the teaching and preaching of the Word. His own father, a pastor for over 30 years and record producer/musician for more than 40, instilled the desire for God's Word while his mother, an accomplished singer and songwriter, the passion of the stage.

[edit] Ministry
At age 11 Christopher preached his first public "sermon," though he hesitates to call it that. Through both school and his involvement with Boy Scouts, Boys State and various other community, church and school groups, Christopher was provided more opportunities to speak publicly. By his late teenage years Christopher was speaking at church meetings and conferences, sharing the Gospel and giving altar calls at his concerts. As the demand for his music increased so too did his preaching and teaching abilities.
In the mid '90s Christopher took over the youth leader position of his father's church, Reach Out For Christ in Dryden, NY. He came up with his own Bible studies and strategies for winning his town for Christ. "Gladiators" was small group of young teens that met Monday mornings at 6am, while "Revolution!" was the mid-week youth service. With community outreaches to local high schools and active involvement in the Bible Clubs, Christopher learned youth ministry with his hands to the plow.
"My dad was my Bible college," he remembers. "He taught me the Word, and then the Holy Spirit and my trips abroad taught me the rest." And travel he did. From Europe to Africa all before he was 19 years old. "It was all a massive learning experience. It still is. But God had a different plan for my education," he says referring to his unorthodox road to being ordained. In his early twenties, Christopher was ordained simultaneously by two different ministries that recognized his work for the Lord around the world. "It was God's way of saying to me, 'You Graduated, well done.'"
Christopher has traveled to well over 30 nations preaching the Gospel, teaching pastors and Bible students, and leading worship. Christopher was asked to be the worship leader for the well-known youth conference Joshua Revolution in Niagara Falls, NY.
"I hope my life will be an example for other young people to follow, only better. Jesus will take you at any age, but He wants you when you're young."
His good friend and mentor Drew Mark currently resides in Michigan. While he would never admit it, being the humble soul he is, some say he may be the worlds best golfer.
[edit] Music
Growing up in recording studios, his early musical talents secured him a position as a professional studio drummer at age ten. He toured and produced alongside his father throughout his teenage years with scores of records to his credit. At age nineteen he recorded and co-produced his own first full-length album, Don't Let Me Go (1999 AireFire Records). The album opened doors for him to tour Europe and Africa as well as the US.
In the summer of 2001 he formed a trio and recorded a second studio album under the name, Christopher Hopper & Money For The Poor. The album, Please Come In (2001 AireFire Records) spurred a 26 state round-the-US national tour. Later in 2002 he would go back in the studio with a new band for a third studio project, only this time he would dedicate the entire project to worship. Vertical: The Worship Project (2002 AireFire Records), though the least known of his work, would turn a corner for Hopper as he found his "true calling" in leading worship and preaching the Word.
Already having a growing fan base of teenagers and college students, as well as parents who finally found Christian music heralded as something "both teenagers and their parents could enjoy together," Hopper was approached to lead worship for the Joshua Revolution youth conference in Buffalo, NY in 2002. The event was recorded live and the result was his best selling record to date, Christopher Hopper Live! (2003 AireFire Records).
Immediately following the success of the album, tour demands and speaking engagements in Europe and his growing ministry popularity in France opened another door: a worship CD completely in French. In January of 2003, Hopper went into the studio for his fifth project, this time all in a foreign language. Pour Toi (2003 AireFire Records) was released in both the US and France, sent also to the francophone nations of Africa.
It was also in 2003 that Hopper proposed to his now wife, Jennifer Lee Hopper, also a singer, songwriter and pianist. Falling For You (2003 AireFire Records) would be a duet album released on their wedding in late December, marking 3 CD releases in one year.
Busy with married life, constant touring and conference speaking, his next record would not be recorded until late 2004, a second live recording, this time at HSBC Arena. Dialed In (2005 AireFire Records) would be his first-two disc set and hallmark yet another event in his life and ministry.
In 2005 Hopper would put down roots in the 1,000 Islands region of northern NY and release his eighth recording with the Christopher Hopper Band, Airborn (2005 AireFire Records).
Hopper continues to tour internationally as a guest speaker and worship leader, President of Quest Productions, a private company dedicated to excellence in the performing arts, and director of Awakening, an international youth conference geared towards "taking over" an entire county for Christ. Hopper and his wife are youth pastors at New Life Christian Church and have dedicated themselves to raising up the next generation of young, Christ-centered leaders, one of those being their daughter, Evangeline Mae.
