[edit] New tattoos?
There are some new photos of her getting a new tattoo and actually showing off her breasts to the camera. Half sexy half disturbing. Maybe those interested in her tattoos (or breasts) should take a look. They are easy to find.
[edit] Breast Reduction
I remember reading somewhere not too long ago that she had had, and admited to, breast REDUCTION surgery (going from like C's or D's down to a size lower). It had something to do with her being very vocal about it, giving her opinions on why it shouldn't be such a negative step for actresses to take even though she knew it would hurt her in finding some work in Hollywood, that sort of thing. Can anyone find where that information came from? If it's true that's an aweful unconventional stance to take in the film industry and worthy of note here. If it can't be sourced I don't want to put it up. [Sunday, 2006-12-24 T 09:22 UTC]
[edit] Picture?
Why isn't there a picture of her? SkaTroma 16:00, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- We had one... Must have been deleted... too bad, it was a good pic. Dismas|(talk) 18:21, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

- Yeah I remember that, whoever deleted it should have commented why...was it a copyright thing?SkaTroma 19:28, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

- SkaTroma, if you read the history for the page it mentions a bot removing the photo (recently) and providing a reason. This article needs a photo. --Demonslave 14:10, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

what happened to the picture of her? If it was deleted can we have a new one?? 202.6.138.35 13:08, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- The past pictures have been removed due to copyright issues. Hopefully the current picture will stay as it is a promoional photo and hence fair use. MartinDK 08:11, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

- I removed the "reqphoto" tag as it seems someone put up an acceptable photo. --Miss Dark 05:57, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] On dating Justin Timberlake
Just because YOU don't know it's true does not make it erroneous, if you want to want until every other website has it posted before you will stop deleting it then fine, it's merely relationship trivia...lighten up Francis.SkaTroma 14:59, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
This is not a gossip site, its an encyclopedia. Unless you have some form of reference to back up your claims, you cant include it in the trivia. - Popmonkey 15:30, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Fine, wait until you read it on whatever site you deem trustworthy...then you can add it here so it's old news by then. Can you hear my eyes rolling? SkaTroma 20:10, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
This is an encyclopedia, not a breaking news site.thx1138 09:31, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Great, so the aspiration is to be a 1976 Brittanica?? Did anyone make an entry about that moon landing yet or is that still too 'fresh'??SkaTroma 05:32, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
You don't seem to understand there needs to be a reliable source supporting this claim. Why is this so important to you anyway? Again, go back to reading US Weekly if you want to read rumor and conjecture.
Fuck you. Who says you get to say what Wikipedia should and should not be? Doesn't everyone's voice count on a wiki or is this some sort of new facism since Wikipedia has gone all corporate. Policing is fine and everything, but people come here to look and find things they want to know about. Just because Brittanica thinks it is above them to list who dated who and when doesn't mean we have to make an executive decision that they are right. Maybe they're right, maybe they're more mature, but that's not the point. If you want a hierarchy update system then go found an online encyclopedia where you are the god. Otherwise, let people use the internet and the wikimedia any way they want. If you go to a Britannica entry on Elizabeth Taylor they'll list all her life history and shit. Just because back in the day people got married and now they just fuck and run and shit it makes a difference? Or maybe it's that she's really old, so then we can post the gossip when we don't really care about it anymore. Think about it. I probably won't change your mind, but think about it, for a second. Sometimes that's the best you can hope for. And if you start policing and make this site about what you want instead of the democratic dreams of the internet and wikimedia being about what the people want, this site will lose its relevance and appeal and fall apart in the face of better understanding and accomodating competition. Seacrest Out!
[edit] General issues
- A photo. Can anyone find one that would not be a problem copyright-wise?
- Trivia. Somebody removed the point about her appearing in see-through clothing and braless at premieres. This is something she's famous/notorious for.
- We should get to work on a more detailed biography. I'm looking up stuff up right now.
- I fixed most of the problems you just mentioned. But - we definitely need more info on her film career and personal life. JackO'Lantern 18:32, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- Interesting that she has renounced her Italian ancestry and does not speak to her father. She is one-quarter Italian. Questors 15:51, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think she is one quarter. Based on the quote, it seems she is 1/8th. I'm aware that the IMDB says "one quarter", but the quote that I added to the article is the only reputable source I've seen on her Italian ancestry. Mad Jack 07:02, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Never mind, I just saw your blog and the family tree records - interesting. She definitely spun it out to be more distant then it really was. Mad Jack 07:13, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Why is she listed under "People who suffer from eating disorders"? I can't find a reference to her having any kind of eating disorder in the main article...although, it may have been edited out.
[edit] History of Self-Injury
I have read from at least two sources that she had a history of self-injuiry. Should that be mentioned?
- I recall that myself. If you can source, then add it absoulutely. FerventDove 02:15, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- There's some information and sources at http://self-injury.net/doyousi/famous/ if someone wants to add it. She's already listed at List of self-harmers. Mdwh 19:37, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Plastic Sugery?
Does anyone know if she has gone under the knife? I've heard this recently but hope it ain't so.
[edit] internet pics
Does the fact that topless and "nip slip" pictures of her are popular on the internet really warrant a mention in her article? I mean, isn't the same true for every hot actress? I'm removing it. MrBlondNYC 19:27, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- It does warrant mention in so far as that she is _notable_ for showing up at premieres and such events wearing see-through clothing and no bra. This isn't a "nip slip", but an intentional exposure of her nipples to the press, almost exhibitionist in nature, that is not that common among celebrities.
-
- First, let's talk about the part about the pics of her from Prozac Nation being popular on the internet. Pics of an actress in a nude scene being popular on the internet is notable? If your reasoning is because this was before the film was released, the same thing happened with Anne Hathaway (actress) when she did Havoc (film). The internet popularity of their nude pics is not a notable part of either of their careers. Their nudity in the film itself is, sure. Second, the part about being "exhibitionist"? Are you kidding? It's not intentional though we'd like to believe so. The clothing is only see-through in those pics because of the hundereds of bright lights of the paparazzi bulbs. If you were standing right next to her, you would not be able to see through her top with the naked eye - no pun intended. Damn near every hot chick actress from Hathaway to Jessica Alba to Renee Zellweger has the same kind of pics on the internet. Where have you been? Yeah, you would think they would prepare for such a thing but because they can't see through it when looking in the mirror they don't realize it. And I'm thankful for that. But should this be added to their articles as notable parts of their careers? MrBlondNYC 07:48, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but I think you are not quite aware of the frequency with which Ricci wears these clothes, as opposed to other celebrities. Also, if you would actually look at the pics, the clothing isn't see-through by accident, and would not appear different from another point of view. Yes this happens to other celebrities, but in the case of Ricci you are mistaken. The fact that she so often does not wear a bra underneath these clothes can hardly be a coincidence when so many other pictures of her (non see-through) clearly show her wearing a bra. This fact has been discussed widely on the net, and among her fans. I am sorry if you feel this is inappropriate, but it is a fact that warrants mentioning.
- Show me where I can see these pics and I'll happily look at them. LOL But I have still have serious doubts whether that warrants mention in her article and maybe we can leave that up to other users. We can even start a poll. First of all, it's not so uncommon for a woman to go braless, even one with large breasts. Sure, it's more interesting when it's a celeb. Second, such debates happen any time actress appears to be wearing see-through clothing as to whether it's on purpose on not. But the fact that stills from her nude scenes were spread on the internet do not warrant a mention unless you can prove that that is more notable than any other stills of nude scenes of any other hot actress, "tig bitties" notwithstanding. But if you're willing to show you me what you're talking about regarding the paparazzi pics maybe I'll change my mind. MrBlondNYC 08:37, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Early life
Tiny at just over five feet, Ricci stopped growing when she was ten years old.
I have removed this sentence, since:
- Just over five feet isnt't tiny for a woman. See Average height.
- The idea that she stopped growing at ten years of age seems preposterous. Unless someone can find some very strong evidence for this claim there is no justification for it to appear on Wikipedia.

[edit] Careful...
the fan website, http://www.christinaricci.info has turned into PETA/Anti-Christina propaganda site. after it was discovered she wore reindeer fur.--Hailey 06:16, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] gwendy doll
Both Christina Ricci and Sarah Michelle Gellar are listed as the voice of Gwendy Doll in Small Soldiers. I always thought it was SMG. Is there some reason one doll would have had two voices?
