[edit] Summary
Digital reconstruction of the "Pich" quadrangle at the ancient Maya site of Chunchucmil, Yucatán, Mexico. Original artwork by David R. Hixson using archaeological survey maps and the Unreal Runtime 3D engine. Note the central platform and temple-pyramid of the main quadrangle; its associated sacbe (extending from the bottom-right); the stone walls (or "albarradas") enclosing each architectural group; and the pathways (or "callejuelas") for foot traffic between groups. These features are all described in the Chunchucmil wikipedia article.
