Ciney is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Namur. On January 1, 2006 Ciney had a total population of 14,958. The total area is 147.56 km² which gives a population density of 101 inhabitants per km².
The famous beers from the city are now brewed by Alken Maes : Blond Ciney, Brown Ciney and Special Ciney. Those beers were first brewed in 1978.
