Cirque du Freak is a movie announced by Universal Pictures based on the Vampire Blood trilogy by Darren Shan, incorporating the plots of Cirque du Freak, The Vampire's Assistant, and Tunnels of Blood (with plans to release the remaining 3 trilogies as movies as well). The movie is being written by Brian Helgeland and directed by Paul Weitz. It has been announced that the movie will move the books from being set in the UK to being set in America.
