City Spud (born Lavell Webb) is a member of the rap music group St. Lunatics. He's featured on Nelly's hit single "Ride Wit Me." He is Nelly's half-brother, and is currently incarcerated. Since then Nelly and the St. Lunatics have campaigned for his release. They have titled their group album Free City.
City Spud was sentenced to ten years for first-degree assault and armed criminal action in 1999 and was sent to the Boonville Correctional Center. This happened right before Nelly's debut, Country Grammar exploded onto the Billboard charts. He will be eligible for parole in 2009.
Webb had produced four tracks for Country Grammar and rapped on the track titled "Ride Wit Me", with his verse being the last of the song. His contributions on the multiplatinum album have earned Webb hundreds of thousands of dollars in royalties.
