The City of Bunbury is a Local Government Area of Western Australia. It covers an area of 65.7 km² in the South West region, about 180 km south of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. The council is responsible for just over half of the Greater Bunbury metropolitan area, and the Port of Bunbury. The City of Bunbury has a population of about 30,000.

In 1871, the Bunbury Municipal Council was gazetted, and in 1899 the Bunbury Suburban Road Board (which became the Bunbury Road Board in 1908) followed. The two entities merged in 1950.
On 1 July 1961, Bunbury Municipal Council became a Town Council following changes to the Local Government Act. In 1979 it attained City status.

The town has 12 councillors and no wards. Each councillor serves a four-year term, and half-elections are held every two years. The mayor is directly elected.
