This is an initial page that has been proposed for only two hours.
[edit] AWB edits
Please stop running AWB in the talk space, the edits are not needed there. Thank you.--Andeh 11:13, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
I concur. It's ridiculous correcting errors in talk space, where errors don't matter. We don't go changing people's talk comments, no matter how small the edits may be. Dysprosia 11:29, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well as you've asked, you may want to avoid the super minor edits (like adding/removing a space) per Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser#Rules_of_use.--Andeh 11:31, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- I'm not the AWB police, just avoid correcting spelling on talk pages.--Andeh 12:00, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Please don't "correct" the spelling of publically with AWB. It's correct British English. Angela. 19:45, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Please don't correct spellings when you are unsure of the spelling yourself. Accademia is spelt Accademia in Italian and not Academia. As in Accademia di Santa Cecilia. Changing the spelling also changes the links. Please see [1] Thanks. Orbicle 23:34, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unblocked
{{unblock|I've been autoblocked. Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by NawlinWiki for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Michael0". The reason given for Michael0's block is: "vandal only account, attack pages". Your IP address is 72.14.192.48.}} As you can see, I am not 'Michael0,' and I am the only user of this computer. If this is not why I appear to have been blocked, please can an admin tell me how to correct the problem? Thanks very much. Ck lostsword|queta!|Suggestions? 20:44, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I've unblocked the autoblocks, you should be able to edit now. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 01:10, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Junichiro Koizumi
Just a friendly note letting you know that you incorrectly reverted Junichiro Koizumi when I had already reverted the error. You reverted it back to Koizumi being in office from "1912-2006"!... Cheers and happy editing! Jpe|ob 16:05, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Quote observed in the wild
User:Guettarda made one of the most pertinent comments about Wikipedia that I have ever seen [2]:
"After all, you (meaning all of us with advanced degrees) are here arguing with 15-year olds about subjects we have spent half our lives (or more) studying."
This is the nature of Wikipedia: everyone is involved, and everyone has an equal right to discussion and contribution (even if this was not necessarily the point Guettarda was trying to make!) Ck lostsword|queta!|Suggestions? 21:13, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] When adding NovelsWikiProject
Don't forget that when adding the Project banner and infobox needed / incomp notices these are not to be Subst. Thanks :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 11:31, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Actually it's not true that "most" are subst. Many or most talk page templates are but not project notices or things that need the content to be varied at source. The key I find is to think about whether the content is to be "controlled" centrally or to be distributed one off and "drop in as is" and left in that form in the target location. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:49, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ocarina
I assume you have no problem with the note that the ocarina has appeared in several games before and after Ocarina of Time. - A Link to the Past (talk) 01:21, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Age of Empires III Units
I dont think that the Article of the Units of Age of Empires III should be deleted. Not yet.
First of all, there is already an article about the buildings in Age of Empires III, so why shouldnt there be an article for the Units of Age of Empires III?
Second of all, the article seems to be fine in general; 2 sources have been already sited for it, and both are official sources (Official website and official game manual).
The only bad thing about the article is that it lacks important sections (such as a section for civilian units) and that it has got lots of errors; but this can be improved... I myself am thinking of improving the article by correcting its errors...

[edit] Your edit using VP
Hi, please check things like edit summaries before reverting edits. This edit of mine was to remove a copyvio and was identified as such. —Angr 11:13, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Better knowledge and humble attitude would be appreciated before judging others edits..
[edit] Sam Adams, Opie and Anthony revision
My revision of the Opie and Anthony entry on the Sam Adams page was removed, despite being more accurate than the previous version. I have heard the episode numerous times and have studied the entire situation. The two main points of my revisions are as follows:
-Opie and Anthony were not fired, but their show was cancelled. They were under contract and continued to get paid after the incident until their contract expired two years later. There is a significant difference between getting fired and getting cancelled and this needs to be noted.
-The winner of the contest was not determined by the most outrageous sex act. They had a point system and the couple that had sex (to completion) in the most locations ultimately won the trip.
I ask that you please allow this revision to go through because it is more accurate. Thanks.
Have a great day, John Musco —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.197.75.179 (talk) 20:13, 21 December 2006 (UTC).
UPDATE: Thanks for changing that. Take care!
[edit] Regarding a couple of odd edits
I'm not sure if something you were using here malfunctioned or what, but you first restored the content [3], then removed the content and replaced it with a warning about blanking at the same time [4]. I've restored it so both are there.--Crossmr 02:17, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

- It is very hypocritical of you to give me a warning for making the same edit that you just finished making.--24.235.229.208 21:20, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Note that before banning me, I have over 3500 edits in the mainspace, most of which have been there for months. You’ll never find them all! --24.235.229.208 22:28, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit to Blackpool
Hi, just wondering about your recent edit to the Blackpool article about gay only hotels. Do you have any specific examples of these, as I'm sure there are many gay-run hotels in Blackpool that cater to all. I'm not sure that I'm disagreeing with your edit exactly, but just thought it looked like something that might need to be backed up. Belovedfreak 17:36, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the prompt response! Probably only a small thing in the mass of unreferenced material out there, but I like the new edit! Thanks for the links also, interesting! Belovedfreak 17:51, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
