The Clan Gregor Society Pipe Band, founded in 2001, is a rising force in pipe band competition. The band was established by members of the Scottish branch of the Clan Gregor, which has membership throughout the world. In 2003, the band won four out of five of the "Major" pipe band competitions in grade 2, including the World Championship and began its first season in grade 1 in 2004. In this season, the band placed 8th in the Major's aggregate tables (or Champion of Champions tables), beating many established G1 bands. They repeated this placing in 2005 and have continued to show impressive results.
