Clarence Worley
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Clarence Worley is a character from the 1993 film True Romance. The film was written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott.
Clarence is played by Christian Slater and the plot sees him marry first time hooker Alabama Whitman (played by Patricia Arquette), murder her pimp Drexl Spivey (played by a dreadlocked Gary Oldman), steal his cocaine and get chased to Hollywood by the mob.
Clarence is obsessed with Elvis Presley and is seen talking to an imaginary vision of Elvis twice in the film, both when he is in the commode. The first time, "Elvis" tells him to murder Drexl, Alabama's pimp, and the second, he convinces Clarence he is doing well in the dealings with Lee Donowitz. In both scenes, the imaginary Elvis says "I like you Clarence, always have...Always will."
He seems to enjoy imported beer and hamburgers.
