Talk:Clare College, Cambridge

why's Robin Ticciati on as a "famous alumni"? is he really that famous? (really I just want to put myself on there...I'll keep working on it. give me another year or so)
Well, fame is always a debatable thing, but he's already been profiled prominently by various media in several countries. Also, if you Google his name it finds "about 18,100" results, and I don't believe there's anyone else with that name. He's certainly "out there" and rising fast. Not a household name, admittedly, but very few classical musicians ever get to be household names outside the world of classical music. Big Brother contestants, however, do (for a short while, at least) become household names. Go figure... And, by the way, is there, or should there be, a Wikipedia policy on notability? Should someone be considered notable and worthy of mention only if they have popular celebrity status? Or is notability through some sort of "contribution" to the world (even if not widely known about) acceptable too? I say, at least in the context of Wikipedia, if in doubt put it in.
Yeah, maybe you're right. I just wish it was Wikipedia's policy to only allow big brother contestants the title of "famous or notable"
