[edit] Kurdish Writers from Kirkuk
Please read the references provided in the articles Farhad Shakely and Kajal Ahmad. These are very well known Kurdish writers and poets. Specially Farhad Shakely who has written 20 books and translated many literary works into Kurdish such as the works of Astrid Lindgren, August Strindberg (well known Swedish writers) and Boris Pasternak. He is also teaching in the University of Uppsala. Their inclusion was solely based on their place of birth and their prominent role in contemporary Kurdish literature.
