Click! Network
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Click! Network is a service of Tacoma Power a public utility in Tacoma, Washington. It provides cable television and Internet connectivity for residents of the Tacoma area (Tacoma, Ruston, University Place, Fircrest, Lakewood).
Tacoma Power had been planning to develop a fiber-optic network to link its power substations, but saw a potential value in expanding the network to offer cable television and broadband Internet service to the community. These services compete with the existing Comcast cable franchise in the area. The program went online in 1998, and was one of the first of its kind in the United States.
