From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Climber is one of the games released in the Game & Watch Series by Nintendo in 1986.
[edit] Story
Climber, a boy of wisdom and courage, one day, sets out on a training trip to the Block Mountain where the Blockmen live to become a warrior. On the way, he meets up with Lord Meiji who grants him boots which will enable him to jump very high, a suit of armor to break the ceiling and a head band which will help him find a sword that can slash a dragon with one stroke.
[edit] Objective
The objective of the game is to control Climber by jumping through a tower of platforms and landing on them, and by avoiding monsters and blockmen.
[edit] Packaging
Climber is one of the Game & Watch games that never made it anywhere else, but the elements of the game are quite similar to Kid Icarus and might have inspired that. However, Climber was one of the few games on Game & Watch that was released more than once; it was released first as a regular Game & Watch model and another one with a Crystal Screen which was part of the Crystal Screen Series.
