Clubhouse (group)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Clubhouse is a disco and house music studio group from Italy. They climbed to #75 on the Hot 100 in 1983 with a medley of Steely Dan's "Do It Again" and Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." In 1991 they hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with the Deee-Lite sampled track titled "Deep In My Heart."
The same two songs in Clubhouse's 1983 medley were also recorded as a dance medley by Detroit band Slingshot, who hit #1 on the dance chart with their version.
They are also renowned for their dance single "Light My Fire" (Featuring Carl) which peaked at #7 in the UK Top 40 back in April of 1994. Their follow-up single "Living In The Sunshine" wasn't quite a success as it only managed #21 in July of that year.
