Clyde railway station is a station on the Cityrail network. Its main reason for existence is as a junction for the quiet Carlingford line. The station is very close to Granville station, which has a more frequent train service.
[edit] Platforms/Service
Trains on the Western Line, South Line and Carlingford Line pass through the station, but South line trains do not stop, even though there are platforms allocated to them.
Platform 1:
- Carlingford Line - terminating services; all stations services to Clyde.
Platform 2:
- Western Line - all stations services and limited stops services to Central; then to Lindfield, Gordon, Hornsby and Berowra via the North Shore Line.
Platform 3:
- Western Line - all stations and limited stops services to Blacktown, Riverstone, Richmond, Penrith and Emu Plains.
Platform 4:
- Not currently in use - this was formerly for South Line trains if they served the station.
Platform 5:
- Not currently in use - this was formerly for South Line trains if they served the station.
Platform 6:
- Not currently in use - this platform serves a rarely used siding from the adjacent Clyde Goods Yard. It is not electrified and does not serve CityRail trains.
