Cody Franson

Cody Franson (born August 8, 1987, in Salmon Arm, British Columbia) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman in the Nashville Predators system. He was drafted in the 3rd round, 79th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Franson has played for the Vancouver Giants of the WHL since 2003. In the 2005-06 season, the Giants were WHL champions and played for the Memorial Cup. That year, Franson had 15 goals and 40 assists in 71 games. He also scored a hat-trick in the Memorial Cup, the only one of the tournament, and led all defenceman in scoring.
In July 2006, Franson signed an entry-level contract with the Predators.[1]
Franson will also be a part of Canada's 2007 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship team.
