Cold Mountain is the original soundtrack of the 2003 Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winning film Cold Mountain starring Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renée Zellweger (who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as "Ruby Thewes" in this film).
The album won the World Soundtrack Award for Best Original Soundtrack of the Year in 2003. It was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score and the Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media. The songs "The Scarlet Tide" and "You Will Be My Ain True Love" were nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.
