Collective Catharsis

Collective Catharsis is a psychology term developed by Franz Fanon in his book Black Skin, White Masks. The idea being that, "in every society, in every collectivity, exists--must exist--a channel, an outlet through which the forces accumalated in the form of aggression can be released."[1]
