The Colosseum is a popular nightclub in Primrose Hill Street, Hillfields, Coventry. It is known for showcasing up-and-coming bands in the local area. The Colosseum, or The Colly as it is affectionately known to locals, has played host to such bands as Arctic Monkeys, Electric Six, Mooney Suzuki and Dirty Pretty Things.
There is no dress code to enter the nightclub, and fancy dress is often encouraged.
The Colosseum is one of the 9 locations under the umbrella of the Bubbleluv chain of party nights, known for its welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Bubbleluv hosts its night at the Colosseum every Friday, during which the club is often filled to capacity.
Other themed nights at The Colosseum include:
- Monday - Poptastic - aimed at students. Features cheap drinks and a mix of music catered towards the student crowd.
- Thursday - Revolution - alternative music featuring harder rock music.
- Saturday - Groovy Garden - mainly indie music.
