Colt Model 1902 Military
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Colt Model 1902 Military pistol was very similar in design to the Colt M1900. The main difference was in the handle of the gun. The handle is a little longer and has a boxier shape. This allows the magazine to hold one more round then was allowed in the Colt M1900. The handle also has a lanyard swivel to be more user friendly. The other major difference is the style of safety incorporated into the gun. The old style safety was discarded and the fame was then equipped with a hold-open latch to keep the slide locked back after all of the cartridges have been fired. Which is now common among many handguns today and it’s a well-known indication that the gun is empty and needs to be reloaded.
