Comandante di Gruppo

The Comandante di Gruppo (also Commandante di Squadriglia) was a operative commander between section of air squadrons inside of Squadriglia and Gruppi formations of Regia Aeronautica.as equal to German Luftwaffe Stab or Japanese Army State Major Chutai.
Such rank was identified with signs how little coloured Flags,triangles,letters or others painted near at pilot cockpit;for example the Commandante di Gruppo (little Blue with Red line flag) of 20° Gruppo,56° Stormo di Caccia terrestre,Corpo Spedizionari (based in Maldeghem,Belgium),1940-41.
For each Squadriglia and Gruppo if exist one State Major in fligth (Commandante di Squadriglia or Gruppo) designated in present form:
- Commandante di Squadriglia:
- Commandante di I Gruppo
- Commandante di II Gruppo
- Commandante di III Gruppo
- Commandante di IV Gruppo
Later througth the conflict such division was simplified,with only first third post past related.these command section exist also in Bomber Squadrons and other units,always one or two aircraft for each squadron.for generally used figthers or twin engined figthers,amongst other cases used the regular planes(bombers,hidroplanes,etc) in others types of air squadrons also
