Come Into Knowledge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Come Into Knowledge is the debut and only album recorded by RAMP, a soul/jazz group from Cincinnati. The group was produced by Roy Ayers and Edwin Birdsong.
It was recorded in studios in New York and California during 1977.
Available on vinyl only, the original pressings are rare and greatly sought after by rare groove collectors and soul and jazz enthusiasts; the album is considered to be an understated classic of its era.
The track 'Daylight' was sampled, among others, by hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest during the 1990s for the song Bonita Applebaum.
