When You Come To The End of The Day 1958 | Como Swings (1959) |
Seasons Greetings From Perry Como (1959)
|
Como Swings was Perry Como's fifth RCA Victor 12" long-play album, released in 1959 and the third recorded in full "living" stereophonic sound. The album was Como's first attempt at trying an uptempo swing approach, much like Frank Sinatra's popular swing concept albums, Come Fly With Me and A Swingin’ Affair!.
The arrangements by Joe Lipman and Jack Andrews were loud, fast and full of blaring horns, and many critics were surprised by Como's volume and how well he asserted himself amongst the loud band.
