they've killed Emerson. he was my favorite battlecruiser commander Kamikaze 09:03, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
That part both sucked and rocked to such an extreme. I loved his character and didn't want him to die, but I absolutely loved how they did it. There was no arbitrary countdown, no extended threatening silence, and no unnecessary dramatics. He told Sam not to work for the Lucians and BAM!, bullet in the chest. So instant and dramatic, it seemed authentic, much better than the horrible deaths you see in movies a lot.
Anyway, was there any information given in the show as to why Netan was so easily able to kill the other Ha'tak? Mitchell's ship shot first, logically that should mean that vessel would have the advantage and win the fight, but somehow Netan's ship blows up the other Ha'tak without even losing his shields. Was there any in-show explanation? JBK405 18:18, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Well, if you watch closely, the explication is obvious. When he realized he was attacking Netand, Temat stopped fire and lowered the shields (otherwise Odyssey couldn't beam Teal'c and Mitchell off the ship). However, Netan became very angry and reopened fire afterwards (Temat raised again the shields but it was too late). Kamikaze 12:16, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

This summary is a reorderd copy of Gateworld's version, I'm going to check through a couple of episodes, but I hope this hasn't happened very often No Way Back 22:46, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Daniel has military authority?
Near the end of the episode, in the absence of Col. Emerson, why would Daniel take control of the ship? He's a civilian. I think in that situation Maj. Marks was the ranking bridge officer. Also, is there any word on a new commander?
