Connor Aloysius O'Neill was a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Patrick Harvey. He first appeared in 2002 as an Irish backpacker and friend of Jack Scully.

He is best known for his friendships with Toadie Rebecchi and Stu Parker with whom he lived at No.30, now better known as the House of Trouser for their slovenly lifestyle.

Connor had relationships with Michelle Scully, Lori Lee, Carmella Cammenetti and Serena Bishop. He has a daughter by Lee, Maddie. When he first appeared Connor was illiterate but was taught to read by Michelle. In an attempt to maintain his residency in Australia, he invented a special brand of beer to prove he had a special and unique skill. He worked for Lou Carpenter as a bartender at Lou's Place, at Toadie's bikini shop, Bounce, The General Store and as a Private Detective.

He was lost, presumed dead, when the joyflight to celebrate Lassiter's 20th Anniversary ended in tragedy when a bomb planted by Robert Robinson exploded on the plane, causing it to crash in Bass Strait. He survived but, discovering Serena had died, he and Dylan Timmins attempted to fake their own deaths, Connor in an attempt to escape from criminal liability from money embezzled from Bounce.

He was discovered living rough by Harold Bishop. Grieving the loss of his family in the plane crash, Harold sought solace in caring for Connor. He encouraged Connor to distance himself from Toadie, though the two eventually made up and Connor moved back into the House of Trouser.

Qualified as a private detective, with his first assignment to spy on Karl Kennedy's girlfriend, Jenny.

He found out that Carmella went missing on Christmas Day and went in search of her, discovering that she was intent on becoming a nun, an action which Connor tried to talk her out of. Connor eventually discovered the truth about Robert Robinson and was killed by Robert on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. The murder was not shown, so it was left open to interpretation whether or not Connor was actually dead; he could possibly return later. It was speculated that he is buried in the front garden of the Robinson's house, under the Irish rose plant that Robert planted after Connor's disappearance. Toadie speculates in a later episode about not receiving a postcard from Connor, and comforts himself by saying that Connor is probably too busy impressing girls at pubs. However, Toadie becomes alarmed when he receives a box from Robert, jealous of Toadie's growing friendship with Katya Kinski, containing an Irish rose from the aforementioned bush, however, when it was dug up the police found only a garden gnome with an "Irish Joke" attached. Toadie was troubled for some time believing that Robert may have had a hand in Connor's disappearance. This was changed by the discovery of Connor's wallet, found in Beijing by the Chinese police; it is impossible for Robert to have gone to China and back between his appearances, and Robert seemed genuinely confused about its appearance, leading Toadie to believe Connor is still alive. Later in the episode Toadie and some of the other characters gathered in the street to reminisce about Connor. If Connor is still alive, the Beijing reference may be connected to his relationship with Lori and his daughter. However, neither are known to be in China.

On Friday March 16, 2007, Connor sent some Saint Patrick's Day gifts to Toadie, proving that he is still alive. The box also contained a gift for Ned Parker and a gift for Max & Steph Hoyland. There was no return address or other contact information for Connor on or inside the box, apart from the Customs tag showing it had, indeed, been mailed from China. Further, Toadie recognised the handwriting as Connor's, proving beyond a doubt that it was not an elaborate set-up from a still-imprisoned Robert to fool the authorities.
