[edit] merging

Expressjet is the public name doing business as "Continental Express"
- Potentially not true pretty soon, as other carriers may be contracted to operate as Continental Express. I'm keeping them separate and removing the merge request. FCYTravis 05:57, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Chautauqua airlines will be operating as continental express starting in 2007 as per [1]. Keep the articles seperate! 66.25.30.135 20:49, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] BTA equals Britt Airways
ExpressJet's original certificate holder was an entity called Britt Airways, hence the ICAO: BTA. Even people at Continental don't realize this! Anyways, I'll have to dig up the history of that and put it on here. It is not uncommon for a company to buy up another airline and even cannibalize it for it's operating certificate and union contracts. This is probably the product of some mergers and buyouts over time. Acidradio 03:52, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Should not be merged with ExpressJet
ExpressJet is a contractor to Continental, but Chautauqua Airlines has recently begun service under the Continental Express name as well. ExpressJet is currently still providing regional jet service to Continental, but is also operating charter flights under its own name. It is also rumored to begin scheduled passenger service under its own name in early 2007. ExpressJet should be a stand-alone article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.27.102.34 (talk) 07:26, 6 January 2007 (UTC).
