that article is a copy paste of 1948 war, and it's already in the article - 1948 war. even if valid, it's not in the proper section, it's a recent irrelevant addition obviously. The fact they are muslims btw is irrelevant, it might be true for Arab controversies or better Arab Israeli controversies... Amoruso 21:49, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't agree, but no point in arguing if the article gets deleted.

Check any Islamic/Islamist website or publication, listen to any Eid kutbah, you hear the plight of Palestinians mentioned. From Turkey to Indonesia, every Muslim is aware, if not obsessed, with this struggle. Of all the ongoings in the world, the Palestinian issue is the single largest concern amongst Muslims worldwide. This category is "Controversies related to Islam and Muslims", I would say that from the Muslim world's point of view the Israel/Palestinian conflict ranks amongst "controversies related to Islam and Muslims" above anything else.
