- What interests me on Wikipedia is articles related to history and politics.
- Primarily this is the sort of articles I have contributed to as well.
Articles started by me or that I have extensively contributed to are:
Geography
Bukovinian Politicians
Canadian Politicians on Montreal Island
Political Parties
Political Scientists
Extensive Contributions to:
[edit] Political Views
- Politically I consider myself a liberal while economically slightly on the left, but not quite yet a socialist. According to Herbert Kitschelt’s breakdown of the modern post 1980 political spectrum I would qualify somewhat as a left-libertarian oriented individual.
[edit] Views Concerning Wikipedia
- Wikipedia is great because of two things: #1) you can access information really fast and #2) you can expect that the second time you will use it for research, it is very likely that the amount of information will increase.
- The increase in information is, at least in theory, supposed to happen through a process of NPOV contributions, mitigated by helpful sysops and admins. Although this is true of most cases, a problem that Wikipedia has not fully addressed, so far, is sysops that abuse their power in order to push their own POV. That is to say, sysops who forget what their job really is and who engage in wars with the ordinary user who is simply trying to add his/her own contribution.
