COOPER BROWN
American movie executive and columnist for the Independent Newspaper in the UK
Born- October 6th, 1966, Eureka, California, USA
Educated at Decatur High School (1975-85) Berkeley (1987-91)- Film Studies and Journalism
Cooper Brown is a controversial columnist for the Independent newspaper in the UK. His column appears every Thursday and tackles a wide variety of issues from his mishaps with his wife, Victoria and her parents "The Himmlers" to his obssession with a Maserati Quattroporte
Brown is the head of the UK Film Board's Development Fund and works in Soho, London.
Brown also works as an adviser for David Cameron's Conservative Party on a media think/tank. Brown was born on the same day as David Cameron. he describes Mrs Cameron as "seriously sexy, likes the Coop methinks."
He has previously worked for ~ LA TImes Variety Magazine and Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles. He was awarded the prestigious Ford Maddox Journalism Prize for two consecutive years (2003/4) He was also personal assistant to the actor Dennis Hopper from 1996-1999. In 2005 he was convicted of possession of half a kilo of cocaine and reckless driving. he was sentenced to six months jail time in Orange County, California. On his release Brown moved to the United Kingdom.
Brown lives in West London and has recently had a baby son Humboldt-Fog Somerset Brown with his English wife Victoria
