Corazón Iluminado (English: Foolish Heart) is an Argentine, Brazilian, and French drama film released in 1998 and directed by Hector Babenco. The screenplay was writen by Babenco and Ricardo Piglia.[1]
The picture is based on the story by Catulo Castillo.
The film stars Miguel Ángel Solá, Maria Luisa Mendonça, and others.

The film tells of seventeen-year-old Juan (Walter Quiroz) who lives with his parents and spends time with several intellectuals who would like to photograph the human soul.
The girlfriend of the group's financier is Ana (Maria Luisa Mendonça), and Juan is very much attracted to her.
Yet, despite knowing that Ana spent two years at an institution because she was considered "crazy" Juan sees Ana when he can.
He trains as a door-to-door salesman, but when the German photographer gives him a viewfinder, it changes his life, putting him on the path to his later success as a Hollywood director.
