Corridor (VIA)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Quebec City-Windsor Corridor, commonly known in Canada as simply "The Corridor" is VIA Rail's busiest rail line.
The following VIA services operate along the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor:
- Montreal—Alexandria-Ottawa—Fallowfield
- Montreal—Charny—Quebec City
- Montreal—Kingston—Toronto—Aldershot
- Toronto—Kingston-Ottawa
- Toronto—Kitchener—Sarnia
- Toronto—London—Sarnia
- Toronto—London—Windsor
- Toronto—Niagara Falls (continuing to New York City as an Amtrak service)
VIA runs a mix of local-service and express trains (formerly known as Rapido) on its Corridor network. All trains are identified by number only and no longer bear a special name unlike the rest of the network (for example, "The Canadian", "The Ocean", and so on).
