Cory Judson

Cory Judson[1], at 30 years of age, is a respected public school teacher, an energetic youth worker, coach, and community advocate. On Friday, January 12, 2007, before a packed Rotary hall, Cory was nominated as the Ontario New Democratic Party's candidate for the provincial by-election, on February 8, 2007.[2]

Cory Judson has been active in his school by coaching sports teams, co-ordinating fundraising events for organizations such as the Terry Fox Foundation, managing funds for professional development, and working within the Elementary Teachers’ Federation for conditions that improve student learning.
[edit] Working in the Community
Cory Judson is currently active in his role as a volunteer baseball coach for youth. He is also a member of Sustainable Burlington which is in the process of developing initiatives that address climate change, encourage the support of local food sources, and ensure that Burlington sustains a healthy economy into the future.
While much of Judson’s family resides on the Canadian East Coast, he is supported by his partner Charity, who is a registered social worker. Cory and Charity love Burlington as a great community in which to live.
[edit] S.T.A.R.
Cory Judson spent 5 years working with a non-profit organization called S.T.A.R. that provides free recreation and educational programming to children from low-income communities. At S.T.A.R. he created a youth outreach program to address community violence and vandalism.
